Mohammad Tolouei

Toloei was born on May 11, 1979, in Rasht. He is a graduate of cinema from Sooreh University and dramatic literature from the College of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran. He published his first poetry collection, Memories of a Tightrope Walker, in 2003. His first novel, Victim of the Favorable Wind, was published in 2007 and won the fifth Vav Literary Award for the Most Different Novel of the Year. It was also nominated for the eighth Book of the Year Award by the martyr Habib Ghani-Pour Foundation. In March 2013, his short story collection I Am Not Janet won the 12th Golshiri Literary Award. Toloei is a member of the new generation of Persian writers. He consistently contributes stories and articles to magazines such as Hamshahridastan, 24, and Angah, with exclusive content.
